Now on newsstands, Esopus 18 includes artists' projects by Bill Burns, Bryan Nash Gill, and Mary Lum, 100 frames from Kelly Reichardt's Ode, early portraits by Magnum photographer Erich Hartmann, facsimile reproductions of documents from MoMA's 1969 "Spaces" exhibition; and a CD of new songs by Lee Ranaldo, Horse Feathers, Andrew Bird, and others inspired by Nicolas Slonimsky's 1947 book Thesaurus of Scales and Melodic Patterns.
