On Tuesday, February 1, The Kitchen presents an evening with semi-annual arts journal Esopus. The night will showcase several contributors to the current issue, Esopus 15: Television, including a musical performance by the group One Ring Zero (pictured), a short program of television-related video work curated and introduced by video artist Dara Birnbaum, and a performance piece by Emmy Award-winning soap opera writer Jean Passanante with surprise guests.

The evening will take place at 7:00 P.M. at The Kitchen (512 West 19 th  Street). Admission is free, but capacity is limited. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Showcasing fresh perspectives on contemporary culture from a variety of creative professionals, Esopus presents content from a range of creative disciplines in an unmediated format. Esopus 15: Television explores the medium of television through contemporary artists' projects, critical and visual essays, interviews and facsimile reproductions of production artifacts. Published by the non-profit Esopus Foundation Ltd, the semi-annual publication’s simple mission is to provide an unfiltered, non-commercial space in which creative people and the public can connect in meaningful, productive ways.
