Since the incorporation of the Esopus Foundation Ltd. in 2003, we have asked contemporary artists to create limited editions that we offer in exchange for donations. Revenue from these artworks allows us to continue our mission of providing an unmediated, accessible forum for artists and the general public.

These limited editions are not for sale, and therefore a portion of their value is tax-deductible, in accordance with the Internal Revenue Code. You will receive an email receipt or your records, and your donation will be noted both on our website and in the subsequent issue of Esopus.

This striking archival inkjet print of David Bowie by photographer Ed Rosenbaum is related to Golden Years, the limited-edition artwork Rosenbaum created for Esopus Premium subscribers in 2016.

Based in Brooklyn, Ed Rosenbaum works as a doorman in a Greenwich Village apartment building. His photographs of rock-and-roll legends such as David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, and Bruce Springsteen were featured in Golden Years, Esopus's Fall 2016 limited-edition artwork for Premium subscribers, and were also presented in an exhibition curated by Esopus editor Tod Lippy at Brooklyn's Pioneer Works in the fall of 2016. Rosenbaum is represented by One Mile Gallery in Kingston, New York.
