Colby College Hosts Esopus Editor

November 9, 2021

In this second of two Tuesday Book Arts events at the Green Block + Studios space in Waterville, Maine, Tod Lippy gave a talk and shared archival materials related to his work as editor of Esopus and executive director of The Esopus Foundation Ltd.

In the fall of 2019, through Colby's Director of Libraries, Lareese Hall, Colby acquired the entire Esopus archive, including two copies of each issue, production materials, artist's editions, original artwork, and correspondence. This event, sponsored by Colby, the Colby Museum of Art, and the Lunder Institute of American Art, provided an opportunity for the Colby community to learn about Esopus and acquaint itself with its archive, which is now available to the college's students and faculty for research.
