An evening of readings and musical performances related to Esopus 18 held at Brooklyn’s BookCourt. Author Victoria Matsui read her short story, “Good Friends,” which was published in the issue, and singer-songwriter Cat Martino performed a short set of songs. Martino contributed to the issue's CD, “Slonimsky‘s Thesaurus,” which featured a range of musicians’ takes on a legendary book of scales and musical patterns published in 1945 by musicologist and composer Nicolas Slonimsky.
